In approving the listing of the Company on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, the Securities Commission had, vide its approval letter dated 25 April 2005, imposed a condition that KFB should make quarterly announcements on the status of the applications in respect of all that piece of land held under H.S. (D) 98527, for No. P.T. Tapak Perusahaan Shah Alam, Daerah Petaling, Negeri Selangor with address at Lot 20, Jalan Pengapit 15/19, 40200 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan ("Lot 20"). Lot 20 was earlier acquired by Kawan Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd ("KFM"), a subsidiary of the Company, as part of the Company's listing exercise.

In this respect, the Board of Directors of KFB wishes to announce the following:

Members are hereby advised that the shares of KAWAN are prescribed securities. Dealings in KAWAN shares should be carried out in accordance with the Securities Industry (Central Depositories) Act, 1991 and the Rules of Bursa Malaysia Depository Sdn Bhd.

		Status of Application
	(i) The Certificate of Fitness or relevant building approvals for the extensions to the factory building; and	Majlis Bandaran Shah Alam ("MBSA") did not approve the application for the extensions to the factory building. The KFB Group is currently in the midst of submitting an appeal against MBSA's decision.
	(ii) To register the ownership of KFM in the document title	The documents for transfer of ownership of Lot 20 has been presented at the Shah Alam Land Office for registration of KFM's ownership. Awaiting issuance of document title in KFM's name.
